Typical Schedule: 2:30 – 10:30pm Sunday – Thursday (10 Month Position - Summer Off)

 

Job Title: Assistant Director of Residential Life [Logistics]

 

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Director of Residential life to ensure smooth flow of students throughout evening/residential activities
  • Coordinates closely with the Assistant Director of Residential Life [Day) to know the parameters of clubs and associated vendors, as well as student, residential field trips
  • Coordinates with coaches to know practice/game schedules, help ensure student athletes are flowing to the correct places, and that athletes at away games have available meals upon return to campus
  • Communicates student activity schedules weekly, daily and as needed to mentors
  • Monitors student flow through campus nightly
  • Travels with students on field trips as an additional chaperone if needed
  • Fully cross-trained with evening residential staff in order to assume their responsibilities when needed
  • Set a positive example by being a role model for students in the program, as well as staff
  • Additional duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with logistics and/or student management
  • Knowledge or background in working with at-risk youth
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Enthusiasm and patience for working with middle and high school age students
  • Willingness to work hard and with fidelity
  • Ability to effectively work and interact respectfully within a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated administrative abilities
  • Well organized
  • Meets deadlines
  • Utilizes technology to improve upon systems and processes where possible
