Assistant Buyer

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Buyer to join our growing Supply Chain team. This position plays a key role in supporting purchasing activities, inventory management, supplier administration, and operational planning. The Assistant Buyer will work closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure materials and supplies are available to meet customer and operational requirements. Responsibilities Issue purchase orders and maintain purchasing records and reports. Monitor and maintain inventory levels according to established stock requirements. Assist with material specification changes and additions. Maintain and manage Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) for required materials. Update and maintain supplier files in accordance with regulatory requirements and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures. Plan and track sterilizer loads. Provide delivery dates and order updates to Customer Service. Assist in tracking and reporting Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and related documentation. Order and maintain office supplies. Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and supplier records. Support continuous improvement initiatives within Purchasing and Supply Chain operations. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely procurement and material availability. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required. Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
