About the Position We're looking for a dependable, fashion-savvy, and exceptionally customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to lead our consignment intake process and support daily boutique operations. Strong knowledge of luxury and designer brands, with familiarity with authentication practices, is preferred. A genuine passion for fashion and personal style is essential. Reporting to the General Manager, this position plays an active leadership role in daily store operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates initiative, exercises sound judgment, and makes thoughtful, independent decisions while recognizing when management guidance is appropriate. Key Responsibilities Consignment Intake & Authentication: Lead the evaluation, authentication, selection, pricing, and processing of designer, luxury, contemporary, and vintage merchandise. Inventory Operations: Manage inventory workflows using our internal consignment and inventory management system, oversee merchandise preparation, and ensure accurate inventory records and consignor sales credits. Store Leadership: Support daily operations, coordinate team assignments, and serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled, including opening/closing, POS transactions, refunds, and cash handling. Customer Experience: Deliver warm, attentive service and communicate professionally with customers and consignors in person, by phone, and through email. E-Commerce Support: Provide occasional backup assistance with Shopify listings, online sales, and order fulfillment. What We're Looking For Genuine enthusiasm for fashion, designer labels, and personal style. Previous retail experience required; supervisory or consignment experience preferred. Two years of college coursework or a college degree preferred. Excellent attendance, punctuality, and a strong commitment to scheduled responsibilities. A naturally warm, personable approach to customer service. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and independent judgment. A proactive, accountable work ethic and pride in doing the job well. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Compensation & Benefits Pay: $21–$22.50 per hour, based on experience. Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 paid hours weekly, including every other Sunday. No Saturday work. Vacation: Two weeks of paid vacation annually, accrued based on hours worked. Sick Leave: Five paid sick days annually, with two days available immediately upon hire and the remaining three days accrued over the first year.
