Assistant - Aviation Inventory Control

As the Aviation Inventory Control Assistant, you will help oversee inventory operations within the Aviation Maintenance area, ensuring that parts, tools, and materials are accurately tracked and readily available to support instructional and operational needs. Summary Of Responsibilities Identifies, controls, segregates, and maintains all stock as: serviceable new with proper forms, serviceable serviced with yellow tag, unserviceable/repairable with green tag, or condemned/unairworthy with red tag category, as designated by the Manager, Quality Assurance/Chief Inspector. Assists the preservation of all articles or parts, while carried in inventory, including parts that are subject to deterioration and shelf-life specifications. Controls the inventory, including requisitioning of parts to work orders. Monitors parts issued per aircraft N#, via parts requisition requests. Forwards any technical or miscellaneous information related to aircraft parts to the Manager, Quality Assurance/Chief Inspector, for proper distribution. Communicates purchase needs to the Inventory Control Coordinator promptly for stock and equipment related to aircraft as required. Uses proper tagging and identification of all parts and components as outlined in the manual. Responsible for receiving and shipping parts, including tracking, incoming and outgoing inspection, and document conformity. Performs an annual audit of the inventory control area, such as checking parts allocation and quantity in the system and cabinets. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications Graduation with a high school diploma and one year of related experience; OR any combination of job-related experience and education totaling one year. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Knowledge of stocking, inventory control, purchasing, warranty, and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of safety procedures around aircraft and machinery. Interpersonal and communication skills are crucial to this environment. Ability to organize effectively, follow instructions, and research products and prices. Ability to process paperwork and handle documentation management. Ability to work effectively as a team. Ability to be self-motivated to complete projects as necessary.
