Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic procurement team. Responsibilities Support the processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery aligned with inventory needs. Communicate effectively with vendors to negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and resolve issues related to supply chain disruptions. Maintain and update inventory records through spreadsheets and ERP systems, ensuring data accuracy for inventory control and supply chain planning. Collaborate with internal departments to forecast material requirements using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools and ensure optimal stock levels. Support vendor relationship management by tracking performance metrics and facilitating vendor evaluations. Assist in analyzing procurement data through Excel for cost analysis, pricing trends, and process improvements. Qualifications Knowledge of Plumbing materials management, inventory control, supply chain management, and procurement processes. Familiarity with purchasing management systems that are technically supported within an organization. Strong communication skills for vendor negotiation and relationship management. Proficiency in spreadsheets and Excel data analysis for reporting and decision-making purposes. Ability to support sourcing activities including direct negotiation procurement and pricing strategies. Understanding of MRP systems, inventory management practices, and supply chain fundamentals.
