Asphalt Oil Spreader Operator/CDL A Truck Driver
Standard Emulsions Co.ABOUT US: We are a road preservation manufacturing company looking for a seasonal oil spreader operator/truck driver. (driving/operating an asphalt distributor truck to spray liquid asphalt, emulsion, tack coat, or oil onto pavement surfaces, transporting and delivering our road preservation products) for a seasonal position based out of Visalia, California. We have over 50 years of experience and specialize in industry-leading commercial, residential and municipal asphalt/road preservation. Applicant must have previous CDL (Class A) Driver experience, a positive attitude, be self-motivated, reliable, professional and good with people. The ideal candidate will drive a diesel-powered distributor truck to spread oil onto pavement surfaces and a tanker truck to transport and deliver products to our customers and suppliers located throughout California. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures Drive/Operate an asphalt distributor truck safely and efficiently Inspects truck and asphalt distributor for defects and safe operating conditions before and after trips Transport load over required route to proper destination, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations Safely load/unloads product and delivers to various customer/supplier locations Records transactions on delivery receipt Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other required documentation Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members Perform additional duties as assigned, delegated, or required Maintain a positive attitude and meet company standards Lead by example by delivering a 5-star customer experience QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the right candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily while meeting the requirements below: EDUCATION & SKILL/EXPERIENCE: CA CDL Class A driver's license (required) Must meet the DOT physical and medical requirements Possess a driving record in accordance with company's established guidelines Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles Experience operating BearCat™ asphalt distributor trucks for spreading oil Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for transporting goods Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team Must be able to frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds Outstanding attention to detail **Must be within a reasonable driving distance to Visalia, CA ** WHAT WE OFFER: Above Market Rate Salary Annual Company Events Annual Bonus Program Medical, Dental, and Vision after 30 days Flexible Schedule Company Tanker Truck Gas Card Paid Time Off Exciting and Thriving Company SCHEDULE: Seasonal (on/off-site in Visalia & Surrounding Areas) Monday thru Friday Weekends as needed COMPENSATION: Salary: $100k - $125k Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Fuel Card License/Certification: CDL A (Required) Ability to Relocate: Visalia, CA 93291: Relocate before starting work (Required) Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Truck driving: 3 years (Preferred) Driving an Asphalt Distributor Truck: 1 year (Preferred) Oil Spreading: 1 year (Preferred) Language: English and Spanish (Preferred) License/Certification: CDL A (Required) Ability to Commute: Visalia, CA 93291 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Visalia, CA 93291: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
