Overview We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to join our team. The ASM plays a vital role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position involves assisting in strategic planning to attract and retain repeat customers, serving as a role model for staff, and ensuring the smooth daily functioning of the store. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and capable of managing various operational responsibilities to help achieve store goals. Duties Assist in planning and implementing strategies to attract and retain repeat customers, enhancing customer loyalty and satisfaction. Serve as a role model for store employees by demonstrating excellent sales techniques and prioritizing the customer experience. Regularly present on the sales floor to motivate staff and engage with customers directly. Open and close the store efficiently, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately. Assist with the intake of products into inventory tracking software, maintaining accurate inventory records. Conduct inventory counts regularly to ensure stock accuracy and assist with stock replenishment as needed. Support daily cash balancing activities to ensure financial accuracy at the end of each shift. Help track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, providing insights to improve performance. Monitor store operations to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for customers and staff. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve overall store performance. Qualifications Previous experience in retail management or a supervisory role is preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and staff. Ability to assist in implementing sales strategies and operational procedures. Detail-oriented with good organizational skills for inventory management and cash handling. Flexibility to work varied hours including opening and closing shifts. A proactive attitude with problem-solving abilities and a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
