Description

The Artistic Operations Intern will support the Artistic Operations Department in the planning and execution of concerts, rehearsals, and related events. This role provides hands-on experience in artistic operations and an opportunity to learn the day-to-day responsibilities of managing artists and concert logistics.


Duties:

  • Shadow artistic staff during concert duties and backstage rehearsals to gain insight into event operations.
  • Assist in generating artist itineraries and contracts as needed.
  • Research programming ideas, styles, and trends to support the artistic department’s planning initiatives.
  • Attend weekly planning meetings with the artistic department to stay informed on upcoming events and projects.
  • Prepare planning documents and materials to support the artistic department’s activities.
  • Provide general administrative support as requested to ensure smooth departmental operations.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Music, Arts Administration, Performing Arts, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning about artistic operations and concert production.
  • Availability to commit approximately 15 hours per week to internship responsibilities.
