Route Messenger Position Summary The Route Messenger has the primary responsibility of supervising the route operations. This position ensures accountability and the security of all liability and prioritizes daily operations workflow. The Route Messenger assists Route Logistics and Branch Leadership in the secure, safe and efficient functioning of the branch. This position functions in an armed environment. This position requires the enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Abram Armored and its customers, as well as the safety of persons on the premises of Abram Armored.. As a leader in the company, this individual provides direction to both reporting and non-reporting associates to ensure that the organizational vision, mission, values and goals are achieved. This positions key responsibilities include Driving a minimum of 5 days per week, in accordance with a designated route, making stops at customer locations Servicing ATM’s on a set schedule, including re-supplying, retrieving deposits, and monetarily balancing the machine Ensure the safe, accurate, and secure collection and delivery of liability Guard the messenger during the actual delivery or pick up Always maintain the safety and control of the armored vehicle Remain alert and always be prepared Counting items, recording amounts and serial numbers, signing, and dating receipts and manifests, sorting individual cargo items by route Maintains communication with dispatch personnel, reporting delays, customer service issues, incidents, unusual circumstances, and other important information in a timely manner Maintain the vehicle, equipment, and the facility in clean and operational conditions Other duties as assigned Oversee daily vault operations including but not limited to inventory management, opening and closing of branch and vault check in/out · Provide coaching and skill development to employees on a consistent basis · Leverage systems, equipment and process redesign to drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency · Secure inventories by executing controls and ensuring strict compliance with security procedures · Maintain and provide quality customer service and excellent communication with the customer base · Ensure activities are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws and regulations · Maintain accurate records, handle customer inquiries, and balance transactions daily · Assist Branch Management as needed to meet branch goals · Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned It is expected that from time to time, program, policies and procedures will be reviewed and updated to reflect continued understanding of company operations. Department and/or division leaders will report daily and receive the necessary support to help achieve the company’s vision and mission. In addition, a primary responsibility will be the continued growth of trust and confidence with associates, clients and prospects. As a leader within the company, this individual must demonstrate the utmost personal integrity, highest moral and ethical standards and sound business judgment while operating in compliance with all regulations, conduct of an effective and professional manner to all stakeholders.
