As the Area Operations Manager you will be responsible for Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the Handling & Filling plant, supporting efficient production processes and helping the team achieve shared goals. Partner on strategies to continuously improve plant performance, manage resources thoughtfully, and elevate productivity. Foster alignment with safety regulations and nurture a safe, inclusive working environment for all plant employees. Coordinate and plan production schedules to meet customer needs and balance resource utilization. Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure ideal inventory levels of raw materials and packaging supplies. Track production flow, address operational challenges, and facilitate team solutions to ensure reliable, on-time delivery. Maintain and elevate quality standards for all products handled and filled in the plant. Oversee quality processes to ensure shared alignment with specifications and customer expectations. Facilitate regular quality reviews and inspections to identify opportunities for growth and initiate positive refinements. Attract, mentor, and empower a diverse team of plant personnel. Provide supportive guidance and mentorship to plant staff, nurturing a positive work culture and promoting deep employee engagement. Conduct collaborative performance evaluations, offer meaningful feedback, and resolve performance challenges constructively. Prepare annual operating budgets for plant operations, balancing investments in labor, materials, maintenance, and capital growth. Oversee budget performance and promote thoughtful resource management to support overall financial success. Discover opportunities for process improvements and sustainable cost savings across plant operations. Oversee reliable maintenance and care of plant machinery and equipment used in handling and filling processes to minimize downtime and advance operational excellence. Develop proactive maintenance plans and partner with maintenance teams to execute them effectively. Observe equipment performance, resolve challenges collaboratively, and arrange repairs or updates as needed. Maintain alignment with all applicable regulations, permits, and licenses related to plant operations, including environmental, health, and safety standards. Engage with evolving regulatory standards and implement necessary adjustments to maintain ongoing alignment. Keep clear, accurate documentation and records for collaborative audits and reviews. Cultivate a culture of continuous growth within the plant, encouraging team involvement and welcoming employee ideas for process optimization.
