Job posting We’re a small development, design, and construction firm working on residential and commercial renovations, additions, and small to medium-sized new buildings. Our integrated approach gives our team exposure to projects from initial planning and design through construction. We’re seeking an entry-level Architectural Designer to assist with drafting, design documentation, and project coordination. This is an opportunity to gain practical experience in both the office and the field while working closely with the firm’s principal. Our projects are developed in Revit, so candidates should have strong working knowledge of the software. We’re looking for someone who is organized, communicates clearly, follows direction, and is comfortable asking questions—a motivated person eager to learn and grow with the practice. What You’ll Do Assist with design development and construction documents in Revit for residential and commercial renovations and new construction. Conduct existing-condition surveys, take field measurements, and assist with zoning research. Support project coordination by tracking schedules, budgets, procurement, and project documentation. Assist with reviewing drawings, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders under supervision. Participate in building code analysis and ensure compliance with construction accessibility regulations and other regulatory standards. Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to obtain information and coordinate project needs. Participate in site visits and progress meetings, documenting field conditions, action items, and punch lists. Help prepare client presentations, source materials and finishes, and organize samples, pricing, specifications, and lead times. Assist with capturing and organizing project photos and videos for social media. Assist in the creation of presentation sketches, renderings, and graphics using Adobe Creative Suite for client proposals and internal reviews. Requirements Strong Revit proficiency, including the ability to develop detailed residential models and drawings with limited software assistance. Basic understanding of residential and light commercial construction. Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Science in Architecture preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to ask questions, follow direction, and learn through both office and field experience. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site visits. Strong graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite for renderings and presentation materials. Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, and Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D). Experience with 3D modeling tools such as 3ds Max and Grasshopper 3D for architectural visualization. Familiarity with construction management processes including project scheduling, estimation, budgeting, and construction documentation. Join us as an Architectural Intern and be part of a creative environment where your ideas help shape impactful spaces! This paid internship provides invaluable industry experience while supporting your professional growth in architectural design, project management, and sustainable building practices. How to Apply Submit your résumé and a portfolio of work completed in Revit. Clearly identify your contribution to each project. Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year Benefits: Flexible schedule Parental leave Professional development assistance Work Location: In person
