Job Summary We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative architectural concepts, preparing detailed drawings, and collaborating closely with clients and project teams to bring visions to life. This role involves active participation in the design process from conceptualization through construction documentation, ensuring projects meet aesthetic, functional, and safety standards. The Architectural Designer will also handle selections of materials and assist with the procurement process to ensure quality and consistency throughout each project. Duties Develop architectural designs and conceptual plans that align with client needs and project requirements. Prepare detailed drawings, models, and presentations using industry-standard software. Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to refine design ideas and ensure project feasibility. Assist in selecting appropriate materials, finishes, and fixtures that enhance the overall design aesthetic and functionality. Manage the procurement of materials by sourcing suppliers, requesting quotes, and coordinating purchases to meet project timelines. Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations throughout all phases of design development. Review construction documents for accuracy and completeness before submission for permits or contractor use. Participate in site visits to monitor construction progress and verify that designs are implemented correctly. Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and innovative design techniques to continually improve project quality. Experience Proven experience as an Architectural Designer or similar role within an architectural or design firm. Strong proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools. Demonstrated ability to create detailed drawings, renderings, and presentation materials. Experience in selecting building materials and finishes, with an understanding of procurement processes. Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards relevant to architectural projects. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, vendors, and team members. A portfolio showcasing a range of completed projects highlighting creativity and technical skill is preferred.
