AR/ Billing position - transportation
CanadaOverview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented member specializing in Accounts Receivable (AR) to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage core AR and billing functions, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and support the overall financial health of our organization. Your expertise in accounting software and financial processes will help maintain seamless operations, ensuring timely payments, precise account reconciliations, and accurate financial reporting. Previous experience in the trucking, transportation, logistics, or freight industry is an asset. Responsibilities Experience with Accounts Receivable, billing, invoicing, and collections . Familiarity with trucking/shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading (BOLs), PODs (Proof of Delivery), freight invoices, rate confirmations, and delivery documentation . Strong understanding of billing customers accurately and ensuring all required supporting documents are attached . Strong collections skills with the ability to follow up on outstanding accounts professionally and consistently. Detail-oriented and highly organized , with excellent accuracy when reviewing invoices, rates, quantities, dates, and supporting documentation. Fast learner who can quickly understand new systems, processes, customers, and billing requirements. Able to work in a fast-paced trucking environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities. Strong communication skills and comfortable dealing with customers, drivers, dispatch, operations, and internal accounting staff . Able to identify billing discrepancies, missing documentation, short pays, and customer deductions and follow through to resolution. Proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel or similar accounting systems. Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour Benefits: Extended health care Work Location: In person
