Apprentice Truck and Trailer Mechanic
Waves Truck RepairOverview Waves Truck Repair Ltd. is a full-service diesel truck and trailer shop in Edmonton (near Acheson) with 24/7 roadside service. We’re hiring an apprentice to learn the trade on real semi trucks and trailers, working alongside experienced technicians. Pay: Depending on experience and apprenticeship level Schedule: Full-time Responsibilities Assist with maintenance and repairs on semis and trailers: brakes, suspension, tires, lights, electrical, and diesel engine service Help with inspections and diagnostics, and report issues to the senior mechanics Support welding, assembly, and general shop work Keep tools, bays, and the work area clean and organized Help with heavy lifting and equipment handling safely Qualifications Practical mechanical knowledge and safe use of hand and power tools Willing to register or continue as an Alberta apprentice (Heavy Equipment Technician or Truck and Transport) Own basic tools Valid driver’s license (Class 5 minimum) Reliable, on time, and eager to learn Experience in diesel, automotive, welding, or electrical is an asset, but we will train the right person What we offer Hands-on training from experienced techs Support toward apprenticeship hours and technical training Steady year-round work Room to grow into a journeyman position To apply: Apply on Indeed or call 780-566-2222 to speak with us.
