Coastal Pacific Food DistributorsApplication Developer Coastal Pacific Food Distributors (CPFD) Location CPFD Office/Remote Department Information Technology Reports To Application Development Manager Employment Type Full-Time Position Summary Coastal Pacific Food Distributors (CPFD) is seeking a skilled and motivated Application Developer to join our Information Technology team. This position is responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and modernizing business applications that support distribution, warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, and other critical business functions. The successful candidate will have experience with Microsoft development technologies, SQL Server database development, mobile application development, systems integration, and application support. This role requires a strong technical foundation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with business users to deliver innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities Application Development & Deployment Gather and analyze business requirements from users and stakeholders. Design and develop new business applications. Enhance, maintain, troubleshoot, and debug existing applications. Modernize legacy applications and migrate them to current technologies. Release and support regular application updates and enhancements. Mobile Application Development Develop Android mobile applications using .NET MAUI. Manage mobile application deployment processes and updates. Perform testing across emulators and physical devices. Database Development Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases. Create and modify database tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and related objects. Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity. Systems Integration & APIs Integrate internal systems with third-party REST APIs and services. Develop automated import/export processes using SQL Agent Jobs, Windows Services, and related technologies. Support data exchange and system interoperability initiatives. Application Support Respond to and resolve application support and IT service tickets. Assist users with troubleshooting, training, and system enhancements. Provide ongoing support for business-critical applications. Testing & Environment Management Maintain development, testing, and production environments. Participate in application testing, deployment, and release management activities. Ensure quality and reliability of software solutions. Documentation Create and maintain technical documentation. Document application architecture, business processes, and deployment procedures. Required Technical Skills Programming Languages Required C# ABSuite LDL+ VB.NET SQL HTML Preferred JSON XML XAML PowerShell Frameworks & Platforms .NET Framework .NET 8+ ASP.NET .NET MAUI Entity Framework Microsoft SQL Server Application Development Experience Windows Forms Applications Unisys ABSuite LDL+ Applications ASP.NET Web Applications .NET MAUI Mobile Applications Worker Services Database Utilities and Import/Export Tools Additional Technical Experience REST API Integration SharePoint Integration Team Foundation Server (TFS) / Source Control SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) Visual Studio Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of software development experience. Experience developing and supporting enterprise business applications. Strong SQL Server database development skills. Experience integrating with external systems and APIs. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Experience in food distribution, logistics, warehouse management, inventory management, or supply chain environments. Experience modernizing legacy applications.
