Appliance Delivery and Installation Technician – Job Description Job Summary Responsible for delivering, installing, and setting up household appliances at customers’ homes and businesses. Ensure appliances are transported safely, installed correctly, and tested for proper operation while providing excellent customer service. Duties and Responsibilities Deliver appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, and stoves to customers. Load, unload, and transport appliances safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment. Install and connect appliances according to manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines. Level appliances, connect approved water lines, dryer vents, and electrical connections as qualified. Test appliances to ensure they are functioning properly after installation. Remove old appliances and packaging materials when required. Protect customers’ homes, floors, walls, and property during delivery and installation. Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules, installation procedures, and appliance operation. Obtain customer confirmation of completed deliveries and installations. Maintain delivery vehicles, tools, and installation equipment in good working condition. Follow company policies, safety procedures, and transportation regulations. Report damaged products, installation issues, and customer concerns to management. Qualifications and Skills Experience in appliance delivery, installation, or a related field preferred. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy appliances. Good communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of appliance installation procedures and safety practices. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, if required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong time management, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Work Environment This position involves driving, lifting heavy appliances, working in customers’ homes, and performing physical installation tasks. Employees must follow proper safety procedures and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
