Appliance Delivery and Installation Specialist

This role is responsible for the safe delivery, installation, and basic setup of household appliances while providing excellent customer service in customers’ homes. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering appliances safely and efficiently, ensuring each customer’s experience is seamless from start to finish. Duties Safely load, transport, and deliver household appliances using box trucks or similar vehicles, adhering to all safety protocols and traffic laws. Unload and position appliances at customer locations, utilizing heavy lifting techniques, pallet jacks, hand truck handling and other equipment as needed. Install appliances accurately according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements, ensuring proper setup and functionality. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly, answering questions, and addressing concerns during delivery and installation. Load and unload appliances efficiently at warehouse facilities or distribution centers, maintaining organization and safety standards. Follow optimized route driving plans to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining a professional appearance on the road. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the safety and reliability of delivery trucks. Disconnect and remove old appliances when required Ensure all connections (water, electrical, gas where applicable) are safe and secure Inspect appliances for damage before and after installation Maintain a clean and safe work environment in customers’ homes Complete required paperwork and digital documentation accurately Follow all safety procedures and company policies Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to lift and maneuver heavy appliances (often 50–100+ lbs with assistance) Mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic hand tools Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent customer service and communication skills Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude Previous delivery driver experience, particularly with appliance or furniture delivery preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading procedures and inventory management. Experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles with manual transmissions. Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques, moving appliances safely, and using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks. Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients during delivery and installation processes. Ability to work in physically demanding environments requiring manual labor, moving heavy objects, and standing for extended periods.
