and Installation Driver, you will be responsible for the safe delivery and installation of kitchen and laundry appliances using a company-provided vehicle. You will maintain accurate delivery records and provide a high level of customer service to address any delivery or order concerns. Please note that this position involves driving a company or rental vehicle, which may occur throughout the week, and continuous monitoring of Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) is a requirement. A valid driver's license and an acceptable MVR status are essential for this role.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
• Deliver exceptional customer service and address customer concerns during the delivery and installation process.
• Safely load, transport, and deliver kitchen and laundry appliances to residential and business locations.
• Perform installations in compliance with manufacturer guidelines, building codes, and safety standards.
• Conduct basic connections such as water, electrical, and venting during installation.
• Remove old appliances and manage packaging disposal as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic installation issues and escalate when necessary.
• Follow planned routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols. Maintain the delivery vehicle and ensure safety practices are followed.
• Exhibit professionalism and courtesy during all customer interactions.
Nature and Scope
• Refer complex and unusual problems to supervisor.
• Work under general supervision, exercising judgment in line with defined policies and procedures. Your output will undergo regular review by a senior coworker or supervisor.
Work Environment
• Work primarily in a comfortable setting but may have occasional exposure to discomfort or moderate risks, such as temperature extremes and moving machinery.
• Requires physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting or maneuvering materials or equipment weighing over 50 pounds.
• Overnight travel will be minimal, less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; specialized skills training or certification may be necessary. Typically requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.
