Location: Edwardsville, IL, USA POSITION SUMMARY The Analyst II — Distribution Center is responsible for managing customer shipments to meet delivery requirements through demand analysis, order coordination, and continuous monitoring of on-time delivery performance. The role ensures alignment between customer requirements, internal operations, and logistics execution while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and efficiency across distribution processes. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES Analyze customer demand and inventory levels; create internal orders in SAP Issue orders to the warehouse with sufficient lead time to meet customer delivery windows Monitor and manage late or urgent customer requests Ensure 100% on-time delivery through proactive monitoring of customer portals and communications Initiate premium freight when required, with appropriate approvals Monitor and report daily/monthly customer delivery ratings; dispute discrepancies as needed Transmit and monitor ASN accuracy and resolve errors Coordinate transportation requirements across internal groups and customers Track incoming shipments and follow up with internal departments Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements (labeling, packaging, routing, EDI specs) Reconcile shipment discrepancies (DMR, RDR, RMO) Act as liaison between customer and production control Respond to customer inquiries and support resolution of delivery issues Communicate delivery timing updates based on internal inputs Manage obsolescence and balance-out activities Apply FIFO principles considering design levels Support scrap audits and minimize carrying costs Maintain accurate part registration and system readiness for order processing and ASN transmission Utilize and update customer systems and internal tools Complete required reports, metrics, and analyses Participate in customer and internal meetings Support engineering changes and production control coordination Contribute to forecasting, planning, and departmental goals Identify escalation points and act appropriately Mentor junior analysts and support team development Represent Distribution in cross-functional projects and initiatives REQUIREMENTS Degree Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. Certification Requirements: N/A Previous Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Supply Chain or related field required; experience in supply chain operations and project management preferred. Travel Requirements: Domestic and international travel may be required between Yazaki facilities and customer/manufacturing sites. Language: English required; Spanish preferred if interacting with customers in Mexico. Application/Software: SAP, SuccessFactors, and Microsoft Office. On Call Requirements: Required during customer production hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays; flexibility for extended hours across time zones. Physical Requirements: Primarily sedentary office position.
