About this Role: Under the general direction of the Procurement and Purchasing Branch Chief, the Analyst IV serves as the Lead Procurement Project Specialist. Their role includes providing expert-level leadership in planning, managing, directing, implementing, and coordinating the most critical complex procurement projects and leading special projects and initiatives for the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS). The Analyst IV will serve as the single point of contact for the most critical complex procurement projects throughout DHCS. Given the significant involvement with statewide procurement projects and corresponding budgetary impact, the Analyst IV must possess strong skills in project management, communication, procurement process and analysis, and external relations. This classification was previously known as the Supervisor II (SPEC) classification and is now referred to as the Analyst IV classification, effective January 1, 2026.
