A Brief Overview The Analyst, Demand Planning is responsible for forecasting product demand across all channels, with the goal of ensuring optimal sales-to-stock ratios. Reporting to the Manager, Demand Planning & Analytics, this role creates and maintains forecast models that incorporate business intelligence and market trends. This role is highly collaborative, partnering with Sales, Merchandising, Market Intelligence, Supply Planning, and Finance to develop a long-term view of business trends for specific product categories. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, comfort working across ERP and BI systems, and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional partners. Leadership Responsibilities This position does not have people leadership responsibilities. What You'll Do Develop demand views of product categories, understanding the dynamics of seasonality, product life cycle, and other sales drivers. Maintain system integrity of demand and supply data, and analyze and set appropriate inventory reserves within SAP (SUPs) Continuously refine the demand planning model and systems to understand and reflect updated assumptions. Analyze order book, invoices, cancellations, gross margin, and other data to support analysis. Collaborate with the Supply Planning team to meet inventory turnover and open-to-buy goals. Provide a root cause analysis to “actual” versus “targeted” forecasts and troubleshoot when they are not aligned. Monitor tracking to targets through detailed sales analysis with attention to inventory flow and capacity models. Participate in cross-functional weekly review of open orders, financial plans, and stock levels. Create, maintain, or improve processes and resources of existing systems including SAP (FMS), BI, SAC. Adheres to all company policies and procedures Embodies and demonstrates company ethics and values Abides by all federal, state and local laws How You'll Be Successful Knowledge of sales and inventory flow, measurements, and metrics. Proactive thinker that provides insight based on data and performance analysis. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Experience in pulling, mining, and synthesizing data into stories. Proficiency or working knowledge of ERP and BI systems such as SAP (FMS), BI, and SAC. Ability to execute within tight timeframes with superior attention to detail and accuracy. Experience collaborating across departments to gather information and align on priorities. Demonstrates professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork with customers, peers, and management.
