AM Dispatcher

About the Role We are looking for an experienced, high-energy AM Dispatcher to own our morning operations and launch our crews every day. You will serve two premier moving companies in Austin—Unicorn Moving & Storage (residential) and Bluepoint Moving & Logistics (commercial)—ensuring every crew departs on time, monitoring live jobs, and handling same-day field challenges. This is a great position for a former Crew Lead or Mover who wants to transition into operations and grow into leadership. Key Responsibilities Morning Launch (6:00 AM): Open the yard, inspect trucks and equipment, lead the morning crew huddle, and get all crews dispatched on time. Confirmations & Check-ins: Confirm daily schedules with crew leads, contractors, and customers. Perform 10 AM check-ins on all live jobs. Issue Resolution: Act quickly on same-day changes, call-outs, weather, or access issues. Re-route crews and communicate proactively with customers. Hands-on Leadership: Step in and lead a moving job on-site if a crew is short-staffed. Shift Handoff: Pass open items smoothly to the PM Dispatcher at 11:00 AM with clear written notes. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: 2+ years in moving, field operations, or dispatching (Crew Lead level or higher preferred). Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and ability to drive/lead a crew when needed. Skills: Calm under pressure, strong communication skills, and problem-solving mindset. Tech-savvy: Comfortable using dispatch/tracking software (SmartMoving, Samsara, or similar tools). Languages: English required; Spanish is a strong plus. Pay & Benefits Base Salary: $40,000 – $45,000 / year (based on experience). Performance Bonus: Up to $10,000/year in quarterly incentives tied to dispatch performance metrics. Overtime: Non-exempt role with 1.5x pay over 40 hours/week. Growth Opportunities: Clear path into Lead Dispatcher or Operations Management.
