AM Dispatcher

Position Description: Job Summary As an LTL (less-than-truckload) Dispatcher / Dock Supervisor, you’ll coordinate freight movement and guide daily dock operations. You’ll plan road transportation, dispatch vehicles, and oversee shipping and receiving while keeping customers and internal teams informed. Use transportation management systems, vehicle dispatch software, GPS (Global Positioning System), and GIS (geographic information system) tools to support accurate, efficient decisions. Oracle Transportation Management experience is relevant to this role. Duties Coordinate dispatching, transportation planning, and fleet activity; monitor routes and vehicle status using GPS and available GIS tools. Supervise dock workflows, including freight handling, shipping and receiving, and timely, accurate data entry. Manage incoming calls on multi-line phone systems; provide clear customer service and maintain professional phone etiquette. Communicate shipment updates across internal teams and with customers, carriers, and drivers. Review transportation information, identify issues, and follow applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
