Alternative Student Transportation Driver

Job Summary This is great for Retirees, Uber Drivers or some one that has extra time available As an 1099 Independent Contractor Alternative Student Transportation Driver, you’ll provide safe, dependable transportation for students traveling to and from school in your own vehicle. You’ll operate your own car, suv or mini van to support passengers and communicate clearly with students, families, and school staff. This role calls for sound judgment, patience, and a strong commitment to passenger safety. We currently have a openings in Carroll County for part time and full-time Part time is just dropping 1-3 students off in the morning or Afternoon. Full time is dropping 1 -3 students off in the morning and afternoon. Must be Available for the morning and afternoon as a full time driver. Responsibilities Drive assigned routes in compliance with traffic laws, vehicle codes, transportation safety regulations, and school policies; adapt quickly to traffic changes. Assist students with boarding safe Maintain a calm, respectful environment Follow emergency response and emergency stop procedures Complete required trip and incident records, using clear communication and writing skills. Qualifications Required: Your own vehicle Preferred: car, SUV & mini van Maryland state vehicle insurance and registration Clean Driving Record Certified Complete Driving Record Clean Background Must pass background check Must pass short English Validation Experience working with children is preferred but not required Pay: $300.00 - $700.00 per week Work Location: On the road
