The Housing Allocations Assessment Officer role sits within a small but key team based, within the wider Housing Department. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about delivering a professional, customer focused, high quality housing service that is underpinned by legislation and local policy. You will be energetic and an excellent communicator, working effectively as part of a team that continually looks for simple and effective ways to keep customers informed about matters that are important to them. You will bring a high level of personal integrity and resilience and contribute to a team known for delivering on its commitments. The role involves maintaining the Council's Housing Register, assessing customer eligibility, and making appropriate nominations to partner Housing Associations. This is a hybrid role and the successful applicant will be expected to work from the Civic Offices a minimum of two days per week. Candidate Profile Whilst experience in a relevant housing role is desirable, we will also consider applicants with transferable skills who can demonstrate a genuine passion for developing a career in housing.
