As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government airport location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will assist with access control, respond to alarms, communicate professionally with travelers and staff, and document activities using computer or tablet tools. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $28.75 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM Requirements Valid Driver's License Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring Airport Security Experience: 1+ years 21+ years of age Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements) NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property What You'll Do: Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public access points, parking facilities, roadways, perimeter areas, and other assigned airport locations. Observe and report unusual activity, suspicious items, access concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures. Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and authorized airport representatives. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
