We are seeking an experienced Airfreight Spot Desk Manager to lead the Airfreight Spot Pricing function. This role is responsible for overseeing spot quote execution, developing pricing strategies, managing risk and profitability, and leading a team of pricing professionals to ensure competitive and profitable airfreight pricing solutions. The Pricing Manager will collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Product, and Regional Management to drive revenue growth and maintain market competitiveness. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Airfreight Spot Desk Pricing team, providing coaching, development, and performance management. Oversee the execution of ad hoc and spot pricing requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses. Develop and implement pricing strategies that balance market competitiveness with profitability objectives. Analyze market trends, capacity conditions, customer requirements, and competitor pricing to support strategic decision-making. Drive pricing governance and ensure compliance with established pricing policies, standards, and guidelines. Evaluate financial, operational, and commercial risks during the solution design and spot quotation process. Make risk-based pricing decisions and escalate high-impact opportunities as appropriate. Partner closely with Sales leadership to support customer retention, growth opportunities, and strategic pursuits. Monitor pricing performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Lead revenue simulation, margin analysis, and profitability reviews to support business objectives. Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to align pricing strategies and best practices. Ensure the team effectively utilizes pricing and operational systems to support decision-making and customer responsiveness. Skills / Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in airfreight pricing, transportation, logistics, freight forwarding, or a related field. Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred. Strong understanding of airfreight markets, carrier pricing structures, and freight forwarding operations. Proven ability to analyze complex pricing scenarios and make sound business decisions. Strong financial acumen with experience in profitability analysis and revenue management. Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with quoting platforms, pricing tools, and transportation management systems. Pay Range: $93,142.50 - $124,190.00 + (Based on Experience) Benefits (All Non-Union Employees) Compensation: Competitive base salary plus role dependent performance-based incentives. 401(k) Match: $1-for-$1 match up to 4% quarterly + 2% annual base contribution.
