Stratolaunch is seeking a hands-on a Maintenance Expeditor to help the aircraft maintenance team in the efficient execution of the work scope performed to the aircraft; maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspections, and alterations. This role demands a highly organized and proactive contributor with attention to detail, a commitment to support the maintenance team, and support our growing aerospace maintenance and flight-test operations. This role will support maintenance personnel in the achievement of shared team and company goals, with demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and credibility. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Expeditor is responsible for coordinating the parts, materials, tooling, equipment, maintenance kits, and work instructions required to support aircraft maintenance operations Work with Maintenance Planning, Maintenance Control, Materials, Procurement, Quality, Crew and Mechanics to ensure maintenance teams have the required, documentation and kitted parts available when needed. Coordinate with Maintenance control on availability of current and applicable maintenance work instructions, task cards, engineering instructions, drawings, and technical documentation. Support preparation and organization of maintenance work packages. Review upcoming maintenance requirements and identify required parts, materials, consumables, and supplies. Track parts from request through procurement, receiving, inspection, availability, and delivery to the maintenance team. Monitor shortages, backorders, delayed shipments, and other material constraints. Coordinate with Materials, Procurement, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to expedite critical requirements. Support the preparation and staging of maintenance kits. Verify kits contain the required parts, quantities, consumables, tooling requirements, and applicable documentation. Track kit status and communicate incomplete or delayed kits. Coordinate delivery of completed kits to the appropriate aircraft or maintenance work area. Maintain visibility of priority and long-lead material requirements. Escalate material issues that could affect maintenance or flight-test schedules. Support urgent/AOG material requirements when necessary. Verify parts and materials are available prior to scheduled maintenance activities. Coordinate with Tool Control, Maintenance, Quality, and other support organizations to resolve tooling issues. Maintain flexibility and be able to adjust to the changing needs of the program and/or company which could be but not limited to OT when needed, flexible work schedule etc. Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity, and fulfillment of commitments QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in aviation, aerospace, aircraft maintenance, materials, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related technical environment. Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to read and understand technical documentation, work instructions, drawings, and parts information. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Ability to identify problems, establish priorities, and drive issues toward resolution. Ability to work effectively with mechanics, engineers, supervisors, suppliers, and leadership.
