Air & Ocean Operations Specialist Location: Atlanta, GA Salary: Competitive, based on experience Job Type: Full-time We’re working with an established international freight forwarder in Atlanta that is looking for an Air & Ocean Operations Specialist to join their team. This is a hands-on operations role managing international shipments across both Air and Ocean. The ideal candidate will have solid freight forwarding experience and be comfortable managing shipments from booking through final delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage international Air and Ocean shipments from start to finish Coordinate bookings with airlines, steamship lines and overseas agents Prepare and review import and export documentation Track shipments and provide customers with regular updates Coordinate with customers, carriers, overseas agents and internal teams Handle shipment discrepancies, delays and exceptions Prepare arrival notices, pre-alerts and other required documentation Ensure shipments are processed accurately and in line with compliance requirements Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems Manage multiple shipments and deadlines across a busy operations desk What We’re Looking For 3+ years of international freight forwarding experience Strong experience across both Air and Ocean operations Experience handling Import and Export shipments Strong understanding of the end-to-end international forwarding process Experience managing shipments from booking through final delivery Ability to manage a busy operations desk independently Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills CargoWise experience or using a similar internal freight forwarding system is essential.
