Air & Ocean Import Coordinator

Air & Ocean Import Coordinator | Dallas, TX | Salary up to $70,000 This is a hands-on import operations role responsible for coordinating shipments from origin through final delivery while providing a high level of service to customers. The ideal candidate will have solid experience handling both air and ocean import shipments, with a strong understanding of the full import process and international freight documentation. Compensation & Benefits Salary up to $70,000 per year Competitive compensation package Medical, dental and vision insurance options 401(k) retirement plan with company contributions/match Paid time off (PTO) plus company holidays Opportunities for annual salary reviews and career progression Key Responsibilities Coordinate air and ocean import shipments from booking through final delivery Manage the full A–Z import process, including shipment tracking and customer updates Prepare and review import documentation, bills of lading, commercial invoices and arrival notices Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, customs brokers, truckers and warehouses Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or operational issues Communicate directly with customers regarding shipment status, documentation and delivery Obtain and review freight rates and arrange transportation as required Ensure shipments comply with applicable U.S. Customs and import regulations Handle shipment billing and ensure accurate documentation and charges Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors and overseas partners Requirements 2+ years of experience in international freight forwarding Previous air and ocean import experience is required Strong understanding of the U.S. import process Experience working with international freight documentation Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment Freight forwarding software experience preferred
