About Setara Logistics Setara Logistics is a GTA-based freight-forwarding and logistics company coordinating air, ocean and ground transportation for businesses. Our services include FCL and LCL ocean freight, air freight, trucking and intermodal transportation, with support from overseas agents and transportation partners. We focus on clear communication, practical shipping solutions and accountability from pickup through final delivery. We’re looking for an experienced freight professional who takes ownership of customer shipments and wants to help build an organized, service-focused operation. Position Overview The Air & Ocean Freight Coordinator manages international import and export shipments from quotation through final delivery and file closeout. The role covers full-container-load (FCL), less-than-container-load (LCL) and air freight, including any connected rail, trucking, drayage or warehousing services. You will remain the customer’s primary operational contact throughout the shipment, coordinating service providers and specialist support without passing the customer between departments. Key Responsibilities Review shipment requirements, including commodity, dimensions, weight, packaging, readiness, Incoterms and delivery requirements. Obtain and compare rates, routing options and transit estimates from overseas agents, carriers and service providers. Prepare accurate customer quotations, identifying inclusions, exclusions, additional charges and expected shipment margin. Arrange FCL, LCL and air freight bookings and coordinate origin pickup through final delivery. Review bills of lading, air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists and other shipping documentation. Coordinate connected rail, drayage, trucking, transloading and warehousing services while retaining overall shipment ownership. Work with customs brokers to coordinate clearance requirements and resolve documentation or release issues. Monitor cutoffs, departure and arrival milestones, cargo availability, free time and delivery appointments. Proactively manage delays and potential storage, demurrage, detention and other additional charges. Keep customers informed of shipment progress, exceptions and decisions requiring their approval. Verify supplier charges, record approved changes and prepare complete files for customer invoicing. Maintain accurate system records and clear next actions to support backup coverage. Recognize specialized cargo or insurance requirements and involve qualified specialists before making commitments. Qualifications Demonstrated experience working in freight forwarding, with hands-on air and ocean import/export responsibilities. Ability to independently manage shipment files, quotations and customer communication. Working knowledge of FCL/LCL, air freight, Incoterms and Canadian import/export procedures. Strong understanding of shipment costing, destination charges and inland delivery arrangements. Experience using freight-forwarding software, carrier portals and spreadsheets. Strong attention to detail, organization and practical problem-solving skills. CIFFA education is an asset; relevant operational experience is essential. Success in This Role Accurate quotations, proactive customer updates, well-managed shipment milestones, controlled avoidable costs and timely, complete billing records.
