• Confirm arrival times and coordinate with customs brokers and transportation partners for timely shipment execution.
• Input shipment data and dispatch deliveries accurately.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular verbal and electronic communication.
• Receive and track purchase orders (P.O.s) from importers and overseas offices for pending shipments.
• Handle all documentation required for cargo release and ensure accurate data entry for each shipment.
• Respond to customer inquiries following company Customer Service Policy standards.
• Monitor exceptions and manage customer contact at the file level.
• Notify customers and customs brokers of shipment arrival and charges, including accurate job costing and billing.
• Coordinate deliveries to customers and verify import clearance documentation.
• Process 7512 forms for shipments moving to alternate destinations.
• Assist with additional projects as directed and maintain financial responsibility for storage, profit, and timely accruals.
Qualifications and Experience of Air Import Agent:
• Exceptional customer service skills with strong follow-up and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience in the air freight industry preferred.
• Knowledge of Cargo Wise systems is a plus.

Salary:
$14.27 - $19.03 per hour, based on experience.
