Air Freight Logistics Coordinator

About MH Logistics MH Logistics is a full-service freight forwarding and customs brokerage company with our own trucks, warehouses, and licensed operations in New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, and California. We specialize in time-sensitive and regulated air shipments, including live plants, seeds, and USDA APHIS cargo, where accuracy and speed decide whether freight arrives on time. The Role You will own air freight shipments from airline arrival through final delivery and billing. You will work from our Edison headquarters alongside our local operations, warehouse, and customs teams, and you will be the person customers and partners rely on for clear, fast answers. You will be trained directly by our Senior NJ Air Coordinator on our systems, SOPs, and specialized commodities. What You Will Do Track inbound and outbound air shipments and recover freight from airlines and cargo terminals Schedule CBP and USDA inspections, and confirm releases and ISC payments before pickup Book and confirm LTL, FTL, and local trucking, and send pickup documents to carriers Review air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and phytosanitary certificates Keep every shipment updated in real time in our ERP system (ShipThis) Communicate proactively with customers, airlines, truckers, warehouse, and customs staff by phone and email Resolve delays and exceptions, and escalate to the account manager when needed Add all charges and vendor costs so every shipment closes accurately for billing What We Are Looking For 1+ year of air freight forwarding, airline cargo, or customs brokerage experience (required) Working knowledge of air waybills, airline cargo terminals, and import clearance USDA, APHIS, or perishable cargo experience is a strong plus Comfortable on the phone and calm under pressure Organized enough to manage multiple active shipments without missing details Proficient with Outlook, Excel, and operational software Growth We promote from within.
