. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable managing shipments from documentation through delivery while maintaining compliance and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Air Export Operations
Create shipment files and complete all required file preparation.
Prepare and process
Air Waybills (AWBs)
and
Shipper’s Export Declarations (SEDs)
.
Receive, review, and verify export documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and send advance shipment notifications.
Guide customers to ensure compliance with applicable export regulations and requirements.
Calculate and provide air export rate quotes
.
Monitor shipments and proactively communicate updates, delays, and deviations.
Ensure agreed transit times and commercial conditions are met.
Customer Management
Manage and support customer growth through proactive service and communication.
Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
Lead and support the onboarding process for new customers.
Address customer concerns and provide timely shipment updates.
Manage customer complaints and claims through successful resolution.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent service delivery.
Qualifications &
Experience Previous professional experience in freight forwarding is required
.
Strong hands-on experience with
Air Export operations is required.
Excellent understanding of air export documentation, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Experience preparing Air Waybills and Shipper’s Export Declarations.
Ability to calculate air export rates and prepare customer quotations.
Strong customer service and relationship-management skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced freight-forwarding environment.
Flexibility to work overtime when needed, particularly at the end of the month.
