Air Cargo Warehouse Operations Agent Now hiring at Ontario International Airport. Step into the rhythm of a live air-cargo operation where precision scanning, smart labeling, and safe handling keep shipments moving on time. From the first barcode scan to final staging for outbound flights, you’ll be the link that keeps customers’ freight accounted for and on the move. A day in this role Your shift begins with a safety huddle. Handheld scanner in one hand, you verify inbound pallets, confirm barcodes, and route packages to the right zone. You’ll peel and place labels, spot-check any discrepancies, and call out damages so they’re documented and resolved. Between flights, you’ll help load and unload cargo manually, keep aisles clear, and get the next batch ready for departure—always following established SOPs. What you’ll do Manually load and unload cargo; stage freight for processing and outbound movement. Operate handheld barcode scanners to record inbound and outbound packages with high accuracy. Verify product information by scanning item barcodes and checking for accuracy; label packages for correct shipment. Route freight to designated locations within the warehouse and maintain precise inventory tracking. Flag discrepancies, communicate damages immediately, and complete required documentation. Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures in a fast-paced, team-centered environment. Participate in training on freight handling, safety, and regulatory compliance. Keep work areas clean and organized; support teammates to meet daily scan and pack goals. Bring consistent focus and energy to every shift; other duties as assigned. Qualifications 18 years of age or older. Warehouse or inventory experience is a plus. Read, write, speak, and understand English; comfortable with documents and SOPs. Digital fluency: tablets/iPads, computers, and mobile devices for scanning and lookups. Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers in person and electronically. Eligibility to acquire airport-related credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, U.S. Postal – as applicable). Airlines run 24/7—flexibility to work changing shifts (every 3–4 months), including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands and work environment Lift items up to 70 lbs; frequent standing and walking in indoor/outdoor areas. Reach, grasp, push, and pull; occasional crawling and crouching in tighter spaces. Bend, stretch, squat, kneel; climb to elevated heights as needed. Work around moderate to high noise; variable temperatures and outdoor elements. Hear and respond to spoken instructions and audible alarms. Perform repetitive motions of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers.
