Air and Ocean Import Agent

Air & Ocean Freight Agent USA Remote | International Freight Forwarding | CargoWise Required We are working with an international freight forwarder looking to add an experienced Air & Ocean Freight Agent to its team on a fully remote basis anywhere in the USA . This is a hands-on operational role managing international air and ocean shipments from start to finish, with responsibility for customer communication, carrier coordination and shipment execution. Responsibilities Manage international air and ocean import and export shipments Handle shipments from booking through final delivery Coordinate with airlines, steamship lines, NVOCCs, overseas agents and truckers Prepare and process shipping documentation Manage pre-alerts, arrival notices and shipment releases Coordinate customs clearance with brokers where required Monitor shipment milestones, cut-offs and delivery deadlines Provide proactive updates to customers Resolve delays, documentation issues and operational problems Maintain accurate files and shipment information within CargoWise Complete files accurately for billing and operational closure Requirements Previous experience within international freight forwarding Hands-on experience with both air and ocean freight Experience across imports and exports Strong working knowledge of CargoWise Good understanding of international shipping documentation and processes Experience working with carriers, overseas agents and customers Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Strong attention to detail and organisation This is a strong opportunity for an experienced freight forwarding professional looking for a fully remote role within the USA with the ability to manage their own desk and work independently.
