About the role This role is built to grow into our CFO. You'll run our books, own procurement, and use AI tools to automate as much of the work as you can. Over the next few years you'll join pricing discussions and help set strategic priorities as we build out the company's financials. Bookkeeping and procurement aren't a full-time load yet. Payroll, for example, takes about 5 hours every other week. The rest of your time will go to account management, and possibly HR, plant admin, or executive admin work. We're glad to bet on someone early in their career who is very driven to learn. If you want to become a CFO and the tools changing finance work excite you, we want to talk. You'll report to our CEO at first, and later to our Chief Operating Officer. Your first 90 days - Get fully onboarded in our QuickBooks, running AR, AP and payroll - Get fully trained on Grok Bot or other agentic AI tools - Use Claude Code to build custom software for our accounting work - Build automated workflows in our custom-built ERP - Learn the ingredient specs that matter to us at a base level - Own procurement for every order What you need - QuickBooks experience - Purchasing or procurement experience - Ability to run payroll (about 5 hours every other week) - You already use AI tools like Grok Bot or Claude Code, or you really want to learn them - Willingness to learn our industry: ingredient specs, ingredient forms, and enough R&D and quality to understand what you're buying and build purchasing forecasts in our ERP Benefits Health, dental and vision insurance, PTO, 401(k) matching, and many advancement opportunities.
