Location: East Meadow, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM
On-Call Requirement: Rotational Weekend Coverage
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Aeroparts Specialist to join our growing aviation logistics team in East Meadow, NY. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving challenges that directly impact aircraft operations worldwide.
As an Aeroparts Specialist, you will be responsible for quoting, and coordinating aircraft parts for routine, critical, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations. You will also arrange and manage time-sensitive logistics solutions, including On Board Courier (OBC) and aircraft charter services, ensuring rapid delivery of critical components to customers around the globe.
What You'll Do
Aircraft Parts Quoting & Sales Support
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely quotations for aircraft parts and services.
• Follow up on quotations and sales opportunities to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue.
• Maintain accurate records of quotes, orders, and customer communications.
AOG & Critical Response Management
• Coordinate urgent Aircraft on Ground (AOG) requests to minimize aircraft downtime.
• Identify and secure the fastest and most cost-effective sourcing solutions.
• Communicate proactively with customers, suppliers, airlines, and maintenance providers.
• Monitor shipment progress and provide status updates from pickup through delivery.
Logistics & Transportation Coordination
• Arrange On Board Courier (OBC) services for critical aircraft parts shipments.
• Coordinate charter aircraft solutions when commercial transportation options cannot meet delivery requirements.
• Evaluate routing options and transit times for domestic and international shipments.
• Work closely with logistics partners and freight providers to ensure on-time delivery.
Operational Excellence
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and aviation industry standards.
• Maintain vendor, inventory, and customer information within internal systems.
• Support after-hours and weekend escalations as part of the on-call rotation.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and operational reporting.
Qualifications
Required
• 2+ years of experience in aviation, logistics, freight forwarding, or a related industry.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
Preferred
• Experience with aircraft parts sourcing and AOG operations.
• Knowledge of commercial aviation, MRO, or aircraft maintenance support environments.
• Experience coordinating OBC, Next Flight Out (NFO), expedited freight, or charter solutions.
• Familiarity with aviation inventory, ERP, or CRM systems.
