Position Summary:

The Advocacy Program and Operations Manager will oversee operational planning and logistics as well as Healthcare Professional (HCP) contracting and Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) workflows to ensure promotional compliance in support of Vericel’s growing peer to peer and advocacy initiatives across both MACI and Burn Care franchises.  The growth in MACI and NexoBrid has increased Vericel’s needs for engagements among surgeons and thought leaders.  This position will provide critical structure and bandwidth for operations, HCP engagement, and field-facing support as directed. The role will serve as a project manager to ensure seamless execution creating efficiency, scalability, and alignment across the Advocacy, Marketing, Sales, and other cross-functional teams.

Focus Areas:

Speaker Programs (P2P, webinar, conference symposia and labs, sponsorships, and other commercial events requiring HCP engagement)

  • Coordinate faculty scheduling, travel logistics, and MLR-reviewed content creation.
  • Oversee sponsorship fulfillment and logistics planning for key franchise meetings.
  • Travel to key franchise events as needed to support on-site logistics and engagement.
  • Serve as an internal “agency” partner to manage end-to-end HCP event logistics, including presentation and slide coordination, banquet/event execution, contract processing, and lead management.
  • Manage collateral ordering and shipment for HCP events and symposia.

General Operations & Compliance

  • Provide administrative support for honoraria processing.
  • Manage Sunshine Act reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Maintain the FMV rate database to ensure appropriate market alignment.
  • Manage SOW and MCA documentation and electronic filing for advocacy-related engagements.
  • Develop all Advocacy-related PO creation in accordance with planned, budgeted activities. 

Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) Support

  • Maintain and update Advocacy-developed content library within the Veeva platform. 
  • Coordinate and track MLR submissions and approvals for Advocacy-led initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing (preferred), or related clinical degree
  • 4+ years’ experience in medical marketing, advocacy operations, or HCP engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing conference logistics and KOL programs.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and reporting requirements (e.g., Sunshine Act, FMV).
  • Excellent verbal, organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Travel expectations: 40% Travel will consist of time at Vericel Headquarters in Burlington, MA, attending business meetings, industry meetings, and working with key customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology strongly desired in order to understand where and how products work clinically (orthopedic background preferred).
  • Self-motivated, high commitment and dedication with proactive mindset.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with strong project management ability – agency experience a plus.
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships to meet short and long-term business objectives.
  • Team player with the ability to lead and build consensus and to work on multiple projects simultaneously

This position includes commission-based compensation, with an expected target range from $110,000 to $120,000. 

The actual salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skills. Bonus, incentive pay, equity and benefits may be provided in addition to the base compensation listed above.
