Commonwealth of PennsylvaniaTHE POSITION As an Administrative Officer 1 - Procurement with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Bureau of Central Operation in the Budget, Grant and Administrative Services Division, you will help guide important procurement and program activities that support people across Pennsylvania. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role supports the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation by overseeing procurement activities and helping develop tools and resources that improve services for Pennsylvanians with disabilities. As an Administrative Officer 1, you will perform the following duties: Contract Oversight: Manage procurement contracts and keep detailed records of commitments and expenditures Resource Development: Create statements of work and build tools that track purchase orders and specialized software use Accommodation Support: Research staff accommodation needs, arrange evaluations, and coordinate with the OA accommodation unit Vendor Coordination: Assist vendors with enrollment requirements and provide information related to specialized agreements Performance Monitoring: Analyze contractor performance data and support compliance through recommended procedures Technical Liaison Work: Back up the OVR IT Liaison by securing quotes for technology and related equipment across all offices Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 7.5 hour work day Work hours are negotiable, Monday - Friday, with a 30 or 60-minute lunch depending on work hours. AWS (alternate work schedule) may be available. The Headquarters location may be flexible to the selected candidate, however the ability to report to the Harrisburg Office as needed is required. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $53,008.00 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
