Administrative Assistant, Scheduling and Dispatch
Visser AdvisorsOverview Clearline Mobility drives adults with developmental disabilities to their day programs around Humboldt County. We need a scheduler in the office to keep the phones and paperwork moving so our drivers and dispatcher can stay focused on the road. Most of your day is phones and email. Families will call to cancel a ride or ask about a pickup. Day programs and county service coordinators call with questions and requests. You write down who called, what they need and how to reach them, pass it to the team, and call them back once there's an answer. When a van is running late, you call the families so nobody is left waiting at the door. Between calls there's office work. You'll keep driver and training records current, file new hire paperwork, help our fleet manager track vehicle maintenance and inspections, and occasionally run a route yourself in one of our company minivans if a driver is out sick. What you need: a friendly, steady phone voice and clear, short emails. Comfort with a computer, spreadsheets and learning new software. A habit of writing things down the moment you hear them. Office, reception, customer service or scheduling experience helps, but we'll train the right person. Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is a plus but not required. Because you'll drive, you need to be 21 or older with a valid California driver's license and a driving record our insurance will accept.
