Administrative Assistant
Jerry's Nut HouseJerry’s Nut House is seeking a reliable, organized, and adaptable Administrative Assistant to support our day-to-day business and operational activities. This is a varied administrative role, and specific responsibilities will change depending on the needs of the business. The successful candidate should be comfortable handling multiple priorities, learning new processes, working across different departments, and taking ownership of assigned tasks. The position is well suited to someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with data and business systems, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Provide general administrative and operational support to management and other departments. Prepare, organize, maintain, and update company records, spreadsheets, reports, and documentation. Perform data entry and maintain accurate information within company systems. Assist with purchase orders, inventory records, invoices, shipping documents, and other operational paperwork as required. Use Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, reconcile, and report business information. Assist with document filing, record keeping, scanning, and electronic document management. Coordinate with vendors, customers, employees, and other external parties as required. Assist with scheduling, correspondence, email communications, and general office administration. Support production, warehouse, quality, purchasing, sales, finance, or other departments when administrative assistance is required. Assist with maintaining food safety, quality, and compliance documentation. Help prepare records and documentation for internal reviews, customer requests, inspections, and audits. Follow established company procedures and maintain confidentiality of business information. Identify administrative issues and assist in resolving them promptly. Perform other duties and special projects based on the evolving needs of the business. Required Qualifications Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets, work with formulas, sort and filter data, and organize information accurately. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. Comfortable learning new software, procedures, and administrative processes. Professional, dependable, and able to handle confidential information appropriately. Preferred Qualifications The following experience is not required but will be considered an advantage: Previous experience working with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system . Experience in a food manufacturing, food distribution, warehouse, or consumer packaged goods environment. Familiarity with food safety and quality systems , including GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA requirements, or similar programs. Experience with inventory management, purchasing, production, logistics, or order-processing systems.
