Accounting & Operations Specialist

About the job Nolvis, an industrial drone company based in Dallas, TX, is looking for an Accounting & Operations Specialist to own our day-to-day accounting and keep our U.S. business running. You'll manage our accounting processes in partnership with our external accounting firm and take on a broad range of operational work, from sales administration to inventory and general business operations. As our first dedicated hire for accounting and operations in the U.S., you'll work across functions and set up how things get done. This is a hands-on role for someone with a solid accounting or finance background who enjoys the variety and pace of a startup. Why this role Be our first accounting and operations hire in the U.S., owning these functions with direct access to leadership Work across accounting, sales operations, inventory, and general operations instead of a single narrow scope Build our back-office processes as we grow, not just follow existing ones Join as a founding member of our U.S. team and grow as we scale What you'll do [Accounting & finance] Manage day-to-day accounting, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, expense management, and bank and credit card reconciliations Work with our external accounting firm on month-end close, tax filings, and other accounting and compliance matters Prepare financial information and reports for leadership as needed [Operations] Support sales administration, including quotes, purchase orders, order processing, and customer invoicing Manage inventory records and coordinate with the team on stock levels when needed Handle general business operations, including vendors, contracts, insurance, and office administration Build and improve processes, checklists, and controls for our back office What you bring Background in accounting or finance, with hands-on experience in day-to-day accounting such as AP/AR, invoicing, and reconciliations Experience working with external accountants or CPA firms, and the ability to run accounting processes independently Strong attention to detail and the judgment to handle complex rules and procedures A startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, broad responsibilities, and taking ownership Fluent English Ability to commute daily to our Dallas, TX office Nice to Have [Accounting & finance] A degree in accounting or finance, or a CPA or CMA Month-end close experience at a small company or startup [Operations] HR administration experience, such as payroll, onboarding, and benefits Inventory management or supply chain experience Sales operations or order management experience [Background] Experience at a startup, small business, or manufacturing/hardware company Japanese language skills What matters most Above all, we're looking for someone who can own our accounting and keep things moving without step-by-step direction. You should be comfortable taking on whatever the business needs, from closing the books with our accountants to processing an order or tracking inventory. Your scope can grow into HR, finance, or operations based on your background. Location & eligibility This role is fully on-site at our Dallas, TX office. You must be able to commute to the office daily. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
