Accounting Manager in Trucking company

GFS GROUP LLC is looking for an Accounting Specialist to handle both sides of our day-to-day accounting: payables and receivables. What You'll Do Accounts Payable Process vendor invoices, match them to POs and receipts, and code them accurately Manage fuel, maintenance, repair, and insurance bills, and make sure they're paid on time Prepare payment runs and reconcile vendor statements Track and resolve invoice discrepancies Accounts Receivable Create and send customer and broker invoices with the right backup documents (BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations) Apply payments, reconcile accounts, and keep records current Follow up on past-due balances and resolve billing disputes Monitor aging reports and help keep collections on track General Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations Keep clean, organized financial records for audits Work with dispatch, operations, and payroll to resolve billing questions Support reporting for management What We're Looking For 2+ years of AP/AR or general accounting experience Experience in trucking, logistics, or freight is a big plus Comfortable with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Excel Strong attention to detail and good organization Clear, professional communication with vendors and customers Able to manage deadlines and multitask Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is a plus, but relevant experience counts Benefits: Relocation assistance Work Location: In person
