About Forward Systems Group. Forward Systems Group (FSG) is a Miami-based freight forwarder specializing in defense and aerospace cargo, with a strong focus on Latin America trade lanes and Europe. We move time-sensitive, highly regulated shipments for government, military, and commercial aerospace clients, and we pride ourselves on precision, compliance, and responsiveness. As we grow, we're expanding our accounting team. The role. We're hiring a full-time Accounting Assistant to support our billing and finance operations. You'll work closely with our invoicing and operations teams to keep our accounts accurate and our shipments billed on time. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment where freight, customs, and accounting intersect. Magaya experience required. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with the Magaya logistics platform https://www.magaya.com/ the system we use for shipments, warehouse receipts, invoicing, and accounting. Prior experience generating invoices, reconciling records, and running financial reports in Magaya is essential, and will let you contribute from day one. What you'll do Create, review, and send customer invoices in Magaya, pulling from quotes, warehouse receipts, and shipment records Support accounts payable and accounts receivable — recording payments, following up on outstanding balances, and reconciling accounts Reconcile banks and vendor billing (including air carrier CASS statements) against shipment records Generate financial, open-invoice, and cargo reports for management Coordinate with the operations team to ensure every shipment is billed accurately and completely Help maintain clean, audit-ready accounting records What we're looking for Hands-on experience with the Magaya platform (required) Prior accounting, bookkeeping, or billing experience — ideally in freight forwarding, logistics, or customs brokerage Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers, invoices, and reconciliations Organized, dependable, and able to juggle multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office software Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus (much of our client and partner communication is in Spanish) Eligible to work in our Miami Office – present MON-FRI (9:00 am to 5:00 pm) Why join FSG A specialized, growing company in a niche corner of defense/aerospace logistics A close-knit team where your work has direct, visible impact Exposure to the full lifecycle of international freight, customs, and compliance Full-time, on-site role based at our Doral headquarters Complete benefit package To apply: Please submit your résumé and a brief note about your Magaya experience to sbeverage@fsgmia.com.
