The AA III will have high-level responsibilities in developing and providing direction on the most complex accounting strategies, policies and end user support. Additionally, the AA III is responsible for ensuring FI$Cal system end users receive timely support in accordance with industry standards and service level agreements. The FI$Cal system represents a major change to the financial processes statewide and the incumbent is expected to have the broad knowledge, experience and skill in accounting required to successfully oversee the significant workload responsibilities of this position. Please note that to be list appointed for placement in the Accounting Administrator III classification, you must take and pass the examination. Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee’s monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period in accordance with the applicable bargaining contract. Working Conditions At FI$Cal, we are compliant with the Governor's Executive Order, N-22-25, with a default minimum of four in-person days per work week. In-office attendance is mandatory on designated days and is subject to change. Our office is located at 2000 Evergreen Street, Sacramento, California 95815.
