Account Manager, Freight Forwarding

About MH Logistics MH Logistics is a full-service freight forwarding and customs brokerage company with our own trucks, warehouses, and licensed operations across four U.S. locations. We handle time-sensitive, regulated, and complex freight, including live plants, seeds, and USDA APHIS cargo. Our clients choose us because we are personal, responsive, and accurate. The Role You will own a portfolio of active air and ocean freight forwarding accounts from your first week. You will be the primary relationship for each client, working with our coordinators, customs brokers, and local operations teams to deliver consistent service while you grow those accounts. You will report directly to the Director of Freight Forwarding, with a defined path to Senior Account Manager. What You Will Do Own client relationships across air and ocean accounts through regular check-ins, issue resolution, and service reviews Quote new and existing business accurately, and follow every quote through to a won or lost decision Onboard new clients and new lanes personally, and document client SOPs so our coordinators can run them smoothly Review completed shipments for accuracy before invoicing Identify upsell opportunities and re-engage clients whose shipping has slowed Partner with customs, accounting, and operations to resolve billing and compliance questions What We Are Looking For 2+ years in account management, client success, or project management, preferably in logistics, 3PL, or freight Experience managing a book of clients and owning outcomes, not just tasks Comfortable picking up the phone, leading client conversations, and delivering difficult updates Freight forwarding, quoting, or customs experience is a strong plus Highly organized, with the ability to take over an existing portfolio quickly Proficient with CRM or ERP systems, Outlook, and Excel What We Offer Competitive base salary, with pay increases as you grow business within your accounts Direct mentorship from the Director of Freight Forwarding A clear 6 to 12 month path to Senior Account Manager How to Apply Submit your resume and a brief summary of the accounts or projects you have managed, including the size of the book and the industries you served.
