911 Dispatcher

Telecommunications Officer/911 Dispatcher Seeking: A calm, motivated, goal oriented, and community focused individual to serve as the vital link between callers and first responders. Description: Performs a variety of dispatch duties on behalf of the City of Whitesboro. Answers all incoming emergency and non-emergency calls; receives, prioritizes, and dispatches calls for Police/EMS/Fire and after-hours city services. Monitors radio traffic; documents all calls received and dispatched; operates various telecommunications equipment and software programs; performs other duties as assigned. Applicant must have excellent customer service skills and must be able to stay calm and deescalate in a stressful situation; must be clear thinking and have clear understandable speaking skills.
