Tuscola CountyTuscola County Central Dispatcher Applications are currently being accepted for Full-Time Employment for 911 Dispatchers General Summary: Under the general supervision of the Central Dispatch Director or Deputy Director, the dispatcher answers calls requesting police, fire, or medical assistance. Duties include assigning calls for service to the appropriate responders. The dispatcher will also assist agencies by collecting, storing, retrieving, or disseminating information vital to their operations as needed. Qualifications: 1. 18 years of age 2. High school graduate or GED 3. Possess a Valid Michigan Driver’s license 4. Must not have a Criminal record 5. Must work 12 hour shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays 6. Must be able to effectively communicate orally and remain calm in emergency situations Experience: 1. Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute. 2. Ability to perform multi-tasks within a high stress working environment 3. Ability to operate a number of computer systems simultaneously Benefits: 1.
