Overview Join our dynamic team as a 9 Car Hauler OTR (Over the Road) Driver, yard to yard from Sugar Hill GA Yard to La Mirada CA yard! Duties Safely operate 9 car hauler tractor-trailers on over-the-road routes from yard to yard, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries across diverse routes, maintaining awareness of road conditions and traffic updates. Load and unload vehicles onto flatbed or specialized trailers with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securing for safe transit. Transport automobiles—including refrigerated trailers or hazardous materials when required—while complying with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues, documenting findings accurately. Manage logistics cargo handling efficiently, coordinating with dispatch teams to optimize routes and delivery schedules. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery statuses in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers designed for automobile transportation. Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with endorsements for Hazmat and tanker loads preferred; must meet all DOT regulations for commercial driving. Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently. Knowledge of route driving principles, GPS navigation systems, and logistics cargo handling procedures. Familiarity with hazardous materials regulations and dangerous goods transportation standards is a plus. Strong manual handling skills for load & unload operations; experience with freight involving refrigerated trailers or flatbeds is advantageous. Excellent driving record with adherence to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards.
